“You can have a lot of fame and still be broke.” Timi Dakolo, says.

Timi Dakolo, a popular Nigerian singer and composer, has remarked that it is possible to be famous and still be broke.

On Thursday, January 13th, the ‘Iyawo mi’ singer took to Twitter to express his belief that celebrity does not always equate to fortune.He claims that there are people who are well-known but still struggle to feed their families.

He tweeted, “You may be incredibly famous, like really famous, yet still be broke.”

Similarly, Big N, a notable Nigerian Disc Jockey, recently took to his social media page to encourage fans, saying that nothing is worse than a famous person who is broke.Big had a message for individuals who are yearning for popularity but haven’t figured out how to make money in a strategic way.People who want to be renowned, he said, should understand that being famous while broke is dishonorable.

his post read;

“I NEED EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU TO UNDERSTAND SOMETHING VERY IMPORTANT. IT’S OK TO DESPERATELY WISH FOR NOTORITY. FOR ALL I CARE, CLAMOUR FOR IT. BUT PLEASE BE ADVISED… BETTER KNOW WHAT YOU’RE DOING, WHAT MARKET YOU’RE SELLING, WHAT TALENT OR SKILL YOU’RE EXECUTING, AND WHAT PERSONALITY YOU’RE EXECUTING. BECAUSE “NOTHING IS WORSE THAN A BANKRUPT FAMOUS PERSON.”
