There were days when I had a lot of fans but no money – Adekunle Gold opens up about being broke.

Adekunle Gold, a Nigerian Afro-pop artist, has opened out about his struggles as a celebrity.The ‘Sinner’ crooner said in a newsletter sent to followers obtained by Nollygistvibes that there were days when admirers were plenty but his pocket was dry.

“As I’ve grown and evolved, my friends will tell you that every cent I’ve made on this thing has gone right back into it,” he wrote. Friends and family have even loaned me money for the sake of my dreams, which I am grateful for.There were days not long ago when the fans were plenty but the bank account was nearly empty.I tried so hard to push myself and my creativity, and while I know Kehinde gets it, the majority of people didn’t, and I can’t count the number of no’s I received. It’s not easy to feel neglected, undercooked, insulted, and vilified all of the time.”Further, the father of one advised his supporters not to let anyone trick them out of a fight.
“Don’t let social foolishness accelerate your process, ma fi ago alago sise, don’t allow anyone scam you out of a struggle or a difficult experience.” Struggle, cry, and experience your agony to its depths.
