“It is against our culture for a man to kneel for a woman,” a Nigerian lady explains why she accepted her boyfriend’s marriage proposal on her knees.

Comrade Ineintiemo Michael Suotongha of Bayelsa State proposed to his girlfriend, Inatimi Joy, in Yenagoa, but it was the fact that she knelt down to accept the proposal that got everyone talking.

Friends and family complimented the young lady for her ‘humility, loyalty, and respect’ for her soon-to-be husband.According to Sunny Oduru and Gborienemi Mark Charles, the lady told her partner that kneeling down in front of her to propose is an abomination.
“She told her soon-to-be husband, ‘Please don’t kneel for me.’ Kneeling for a lady is frowned upon in our society. Gborienemi wrote, “Western education and civilisation will not change the reality that you are the man of the family.””Suotongha Michael Ineintiemo,” wrote another pal.

His new tear rubber package said “YES” and she even knelt for him as a sign of loyalty and respect. In this kind of marriage, God himself will be present to do the joining!!!!!! But let me ask, where did this kind woman come from if just one of them saw her? Make ona reveal the secret to us… If not, we’re not getting married o”
