Raheem Abike Halimah, an Instagram influencer and big girl also known as Papaya Ex or Abike Arab Money, has been vocal about how much money she spends each week on data.
The social media influencer said on Twitter that she spends N50,000 each week on data and that she is tired of doing so since it amounts to “daylight theft.”
She posted a tweet
“I can’t continue doing this” I renounce. A week with 50k data? Please let me know when we utilize 1GB in a month. Help! What is this daylight robbery?
She claimed to spend that much money each week, but several online users didn’t buy it and accused her of “capping” her spending.
In response to criticism, Papaya stated that she uses the internet constantly and spends N10,000 per day on data.
She penned,
“Lmaoo. since I omitted to say 50k in 5 days? Mtchew. Each and every day, I utilize 10k. How much internet usage do you anticipate me to have daily? Please stop acting so ignorantly and naively on this app. Who is unaware that 100k is the new 10k lately.
A while ago, Papaya bagged a multi-million naira endorsement deal with a Beauty brand.
Photos making the rounds on social media shows Abike who was all smiles, sealing the deal and also brandishing the gigantic cheque that disclosed the amount she was paid for the gig.
Sharing the announcement on her story, Papaya revealed that 4 years ago, she slid into their DM to beg them to “model for free” and now in 2022, they texted.
